Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are
PeloStack is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about this policy through the contact form.
Information we collect
When you send the contact form, we receive the information you enter:
- your name and email address
- the service you are interested in and, if you choose one, your budget range
- your message
- your consent to us using these details to reply
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, for security and to keep the website running. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is stored in your browser and is not sent to us.
How we use your information
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a scope and quote if you ask for one and, if you become a client, to deliver and support the work we agree on. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Consent
The contact form asks for your consent before it sends your details. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect how we used your information before you withdrew it.
Service providers
We use service providers, called operators in POPIA, to run this website:
- Email delivery. Messages from the contact form are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service.
- Hosting. The website and the contact form service run on a hosting provider.
These providers may only process your information on our instructions and must keep it secure.
Transfers outside South Africa
Some of these providers may store or process information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements that give your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as section 72 of the Act requires.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. If you do not become a client, we delete your enquiry once we no longer need it to reply to you. If you become a client, we keep project correspondence for as long as the work and our legal record-keeping obligations require.
Security
The contact form is sent over an encrypted connection. Only the accounts we use to reply to enquiries and to deliver our work can access them, and those accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication where the service offers it.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you access to it
- correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
- delete information we no longer need or are not allowed to keep
- stop using your information, if you object to how it is used
To make a request, send us a message through the contact form and say that it is about your personal information. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, please contact us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa):

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will publish any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will notify the people concerned by email.
